Blue Grass Drive-In opens for the 2018 season Friday, March 30th
Ready Player One (PG-13) is the first movie of the season

Blue Grass, IA:

Blue Grass Drive-In Theater, an all-digital multi-screen outdoor theater, will be starting our fourth season on Friday, March 30th, 2018. Following up on a fantastic 2017, fueled by a passionate customer base and social media growth, is a challenge that we are excited to take on.

As Blue Grass Drive-In enters our 2018 season we are expanding our relationship with local business partners for sponsored event weekends and employee/customer appreciation nights. With a dedicated account manager Blue Grass Drive-In is in our best position to support our valued partners.

The biggest change in 2018 will be the addition of a third BarcoⒸ digital projector. Expanding the Drive-in from two to three screens. A third screen allows for increased flexibility in movie booking, parking availability, and a dedicated option for partner events. Be on the lookout for special movies, and events made possible by our most recent investment.

Owner, and ticket-booth operator Randy Lorenz had this to say about expanding in 2018:
“Seeing the goal of building our next screen is a testament to the investment all of our fans have made us. Adding this screen provides our visitors more room and more options.” when he didn’t think we were still paying attention Randy went on to say, “This is so awesome.”

Blue Grass Drive-In is adding a number of new items for the 2018 season. Just a few of them include:

  • Opening our third outdoor movie screen
  • Adding Giant Pretzels, and Tacos to our menu
  • Increased options for special events and sponsored nights.
